The organization was very well thought, in terms of practice hours and schedule, with Jenny being very attentive to the needs of the participants and making adjustments while letting everyone know in advance.
The coaching was very high level, and the choice of coaches complemented each other well, tweaking or designing classes that highlight connections with the previous ones. The gym was well equipped, adequate for the number of participants and Carlos was a great host, making sure everyone felt well received in his "home".
Overall, I think the event was an outstanding success and I would definitely join another New Horizons camp or recommend it to other people!”

Laurien Zurhake, Netherlands“I was very happy that I decided to attend the New Horizons CLA Camp featuring Greg Souders, Laurien Zurhake and Carlos Carvalho. It was held in Faro, Portugal — a charming location where the old town, great food and everything you need is within walking distance.
The formate was intense in the best possible way: 3 days, 2 sessions per day, Gi and No-Gi, plus open mats. Plenty of mat time, plenty of learning. What made this camp truly special was the coaching line up. Greg Souders structured his sessions around topics chosen by the participants. Laurien Zurhake and Carlos Carvalho complemented this perfectly, each exploring related aspects from different angles. The 3 coaches’ sessions connected beautifully in the end, giving participants a well-rounded understanding of the material. For those of us that donˋt have easy access to CLA coaches at home this was genuinely invaluable.
A big thank you to Carlos for providing an immaculate and welcoming mat space, and to Jenny - the driving force behind New Horizons - for organizing so smoothly and thoughtfully.
