Jenny Beste
Growing up on a farm in Germany meant an active lifestyle and a natural sense for balance between effort and rest. Sport has always been a constant, shaping a practical and grounded approach to training and wellbeing.
As a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belt and lifelong athlete, with experience in handball, swimming, and — since recently — freediving, long-term consistency and mental focus have become central values. Jiu-Jitsu, in particular, highlights how problem-solving under pressure and smart recovery are essential for sustainable progress.
With an academic background in physics and sports science, including psychology and stress management, I like to approach training from an evidence-based and multi-layered perspective. Progress comes not from pushing nonstop, but from structuring effort, recovery, and environment in a way that supports both performance and health.
Alongside this, my experience in event organisation within the tourism industry has built a strong foundation for creating smooth, well-run experiences. Through New Horizons, these skills come together in the organisation of carefully curated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu camps.
Each camp is designed around high-quality instruction from experienced coaches, well-chosen locations, and enough space to train hard, recover properly, and enjoy the surroundings. The goal is simple: offer an environment where practitioners can improve their Jiu-Jitsu, connect with the community, stay healthy, go on off-the-mats adventures and return home motivated and refreshed.
